Here are 3 key highlights from the study:
1. Groundups are valued for taking ownership of issues and providing solutions efficiently and innovatively. However, they need help with daily operations and stakeholder management. Successful impact requires both internal capacity and external support.
2. They need to strike a balance between trust and accountability. Nevertheless, there is more potential in building their capacities than formalising and institutionalising the space.
3. Through encouraging and empowering groundups, consolidating resources and connecting organisations, we can all build an ecosystem that enables groundups to emerge and thrive.
